Retreat FAQ

  • The pre-retreat dinner at Treadwell Restaurant and the optional Saturday afternoon activity are not included in the retreat package.

Participants who choose to join these events will be responsible for covering the costs directly with the respective vendors.

  • Of the two primary companies we have recommended to transport you from Toronto’s airport to NOTL, Airline Limousine has nicer and newer cars than Aerofleet and is therefore slightly more expensive. You can see the flat rate prices offered by each company on their websites based on the size and type of vehicle requested. We do encourage you to try and ride share with others attending the retreat, if possible.

  • Only those who have volunteered their incoming flight details will be shared with others in the group who expressed an interest in sharing transportation to NOTL.

  • Light jackets, sweaters, rain jackets, running shoes, and hats are great when travelling to the Niagara area during the Fall.

Please wear comfortable footwear during the day on Saturday. The day will include some walking and sightseeing as well as a boat ride. Recyclable ponchos will be provided to avoid getting wet on the boat.

  • There will be two departure options, one leaving at 8:15AM and the other at 9:45AM.

Each bus will make at least two stops, and possible more. One will be in the Financial District near the Convention Centre (for hotels such as the Royal York, Ritz Carlton, St. Regis, Omni King Edward and Shangi-La) and the other near Bloor Street (for hotels such as the Four Seasons, Park Hyatt, Hazelton and The W.) From either drop off point it would be a short Uber or Taxi ride to your hotel, if not walkable.

  • We will provide two departure options, presently planned for 8:15AM and 9:45AM. Each should arrive in Toronto approximately 2 hours later and you may need an additional 10 minutes from the drop off point to reach your hotel.

One upside to the unfortunate time of year for the Conference is daylight savings time commences overnight Saturday, so everyone will get to enjoy an extra hour of sleep before the big week!
